At Tech Data, a normal day in the sales team would be taking inbound calls, and call out to customers about various different things. Some days you can have Vendor call out days where you can call customers with promotions, which in turn can win you prizes! Some days can vary, especially being an apprentice with a 'Natural Training' session every now and again.
I would say my people skills have increased greatly, i feel confident when talking to people in and out the business. Especially when talking about products or services. My computing Skills have also increased, and i feel confident when using the Tech Data systems. Overall, I would say i have grown in confidence not only in my role, but also in myself because of the Tech Data Apprenticeship scheme.
I Really enjoy my apprenticeship with Tech Data, It is the perfect balance between work and learning. The team of apprentices are all amazing, and everyone else that i have spoken to are pretty great as well. Overall, i would say that it has exceeded my expectations, and is a really great thing to be apart of.
My Program with Tech Data is very well structured, there was quite a bit of classroom training at the beginning of the program but that is very understandable. The Tech Data training has been great, we would have the training scheduled so we knew when the training was. The meeting system we have at Tech Data works very well as well, allowing you to book a meeting room and choose the correct people. Overall, the Tech Data apprenticeship is very organised.
Tech Data have been great so far, I have meetings with my manager and Apprentice coach, Tech Data is a very flexible company, I feel that if a situation occurred they would be very understanding of it and help support me where they could. I feel that if i ever had any issues, there are many people within the business I could happily speak to.
Every Month I have a face to face meeting with our apprentice coach, We speak about many different things, but when we speak about the work (Personal statements, Portfolio etc) My coach is very helpful and give me lots of tips on how to improve my work, and gives me many new ideas for my work too.
I feel that the qualification through my training provider has helped me a great deal in the way I am when I am in the sales team, I feel confident as I can use the techniques that I have learnt / picked up from training. Natural Training is a great way to learn sales techniques.
At Tech Data, there are many different things outside of the workplace that colleagues can engage in, there is a 'social club' which do many extra curricular activities for colleagues. Tech Data also do an Event called 'Tech Data Live' which is large event which hosts a great experience for colleagues and customers alike.
Yes
Tech Data is a great place to work, there are many great people within Tech Data, Everyone is friendly and I feel that if I needed support on something, I would receive it. I feel like I have the potential to succeed here, there are endless routes that I could pursue are endless. Tech Data is a great company to work for.
If you apply to work at Tech Data, you have to be prepared to work very hard, but the hard work you put in, will reward you back. Another thing I would say is to always ask questions, even if they sound silly! As long as you be yourself and put 100% into your work, you will have a very successful time at Tech Data.
