My basic job roles is the provision of the new fibre networks, and the maintenance of the older legacy network and fibre broadband.
I've learnt much better time management skills and also working in a much more efficient manner to help benefit me and the team that are around me.
I've thoroughly enjoyed what I have done so far as part of the programme and I cannot wait to see where the future takes me and the progression I will make within my job role.
It's been a fairly well organised structure as far as the framework goes however it can be a challenge to get onto certain courses as they are very limited on when they are run.
whenever I need the support I Know I can ask any of the team around me and also my manager if I need pointing in the right direction.
I see my NVQ provider once every month or so and when we meet we go through the work that I have done and what I need to do to keep progressing.
The training that has been provided gives me more of an insight into what I shall be working on on a day to day basis when working in patch.
We go for team meals in the evenings every couple of months to chat and catch up with everyone together to discuss work and to network with parts of the team that you wouldn't do during normal working periods.
