Everyday I am expected to hold a certain amount of money held in a safe. I look after 29+ crew members ensuring they are trained correctly whilst helping them with any development needs. I maintain high standards of food safety as well as I high standard of customer service. Everyday is a new day and a new learning curve.
I have learnt how to deal with certain complaints made by customers as well certain training needs needed to work more closely with IT. I am now able to identify stock issues and wastage discrepancy to rectify issues needed. I also learnt how to work with labour to ensure the business runs smoothly on a daily basis to prevent poor turnover.
I enjoyed the programme immensely. Not only does it work along side your current business role but it opens your mind to the whole retail market helping to look at all aspects of the fast food industry. Nothing is to much for the programmes trainers and they push you to make you better than you can be
Very well. As I have a family which include 3 children, with any illness or child care problems the flexibility was great and helped me to keep up with the learning development needed to pass the course. Also as I work 5 days a week my commitments to work were not disrupted.
Great support was given, as I mentioned before nothing was ever to much for employer or trainer. The shifts I was scheduled were always so flexible with the lifetime training programme. My work had fellow colleagues who were always on hand to help if I needed any help with questions.
Nothing was ever to much and the time needed was given to me. Sarah would always work to help me receive the learning I needed. I could always message or call for help and the resources were identified to help me develop to enable to pass the course with distinction
It has helped me gain a greater understanding of the whole retail group and has made me the best I can be in my role. I am now more at ease in my role knowing I can only improve from what I have learnt. My trainer showed a passion for her role and what’s to put that passion into the people she was teaching
We have a 5 a side football tournament which takes place every year to see who can become the best restaurant. We also have love where you live, this is where we bring the local community together to collect any rubbish that people leave around the town, this helps bring the community together
Yes
McDonald is not a work place, it is a family, not one person is above the rest and no one person matters, we all look out for each other a become the team needed to perform and produce great customer experiences all day everyday. The pay and benefits is also a reward
Be yourself and show you want to learn and improve. Not one day is the same so you should always be ready for change and also be ready to make new friends with colleagues and customers. The role requires you to be working at a fast pace so you should always work with care
