  • I take lead of the lobby ensuring I greet customers, communicate, solve complaints, help deliver a great experience, hold meetings, plan cleaning and detailing schedules, resolve any ongoing issues.

  • I have much more of an insight of how the company operates and how important my role is. Its given me more confidence and enabled me to develop my capabilities.

  • I loved that it pushed me to my limits and made me realise I can be so much better.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • Very, I met with my regional trainer frequently and I was able to contact her when ever i needed. Having my own personal mentor also gave me the drive i needed and the support.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I was allocated a full shift every week to do my apprenticeship and a meeting room that I could concentrate in.

  • So much! When ever I felt needed something explained or reassurance she was there.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • Very well, I feel proud of myself and its given me the boost I needed.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • I hold charity family days to raise money throughout the, I organise community literacy picks with local schools and I organise team nights out.

  • 9a. Would you recommend McDonald's to a friend?
  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • The company is great to work for. As a mum, they offered me great hours to suit. Training is ongoing and there's opportunities to go higher. Also offering the apprenticeship is amazing.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to McDonald's?
  • Be yourself, ask questions and get involved.
