  • Data Scientist: To undertake advanced analysis and develop models/solutions to problems concerning prediction/ classification / regression

  • I have been in a data science position for 3 years now and I have even still gained knowledge of things I didn't know about. So yes, in short, I have gained new skills and also polished existing skills

  • I enjoy my programme very much from the technical aspects however I do not like the academic writing aspects (these do not apply to me in my day to day role at all and I feel forced to play the "game" to get the grades)

  • The programme is well structured and lessons are delivered effecitvely. Workloads are quite bad

  • 30% of working time is given for study. However there aren't many experienced data scientists to feed off from at TUI

  • Support from the university is good.

  • The qualification has a project which we have to do with our business that not only forces us to use knowledge that we have gained but also use it towards solving business problems

  • Yes

  • They have interesting problems to solve and a perfect working ground to test your DS knowledge and establish yourself


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to TUI UK & Ireland?
  • There will be nobody to help you understand DS concepts. Make sure you come with your own DS toolbox and a willingness to proactively learn
