Trading Department My daily role includes: Analysing data and trends of customers buying holidays Completing price actions which immediately affect prices Control Hotel Ordering on the website Looking after specific holiday destinations such as Cuba Attend meetings and 'huddles' with my team Answer any pricing inquiries from the Contact Center
New and developed skills include: Communication Presenting Public speaking Data Analysis Teamwork Leadership Will achieve a Level 4 Diploma in Business and Professional Administration
Met beyond my expectations, I have really bonded with my team through the office and social events outside too. TUI has aided me to adapt to Office Life effectively and I am enjoying the new challenges I face.
20% of my week is dedicated to my Apprenticeship Work Have a tutor and assessor within the office, so is always on hand to answer any questions Regular catch ups and meetings with my manager and assessor Had an induction period of a month to learn more about company and job role
Manager is really supportive of the scheme and aids me with any evidence i need for my portfolio of my apprenticeship. We have a buddy scheme of previous apprentices mentoring new apprentices to give advice on any aspect Mentor scheme of colleagues in Senior Positions to give advice on career progression and general worries My team are supportive in me completing my apprenticeship work and will help me with Trading actions if I needed
A relatively good amount of resources and tasks available to extend and gave me more knowledge about my Diploma so I am able to complete any unit. Gives clear framework and marking criteria to each unit. Have started using Smart Assessor to be able to see tasks and set deadlines for myself and also from my assessor.
Very well as my diploma involves practical units as well as knowledge units. I can often use TUI as a case study so I am able to apply my knowledge to the company. Also yhe practical and evidence building part of my porttfiloi allows me to build on key skills including communication and presenting skills to apply to my daily role e.g. meetings
There is always activities to do around the office such as themed days and activities. We also get the chance for nights out and team activities such as escape rooms, going for dinner and trampoline parks. We also get the chance to attend an annual conference aboard to discuss the year and visit some of our hotels

It is a great company and includes so great perks. The company is willing to give you so many opportunities even when you haven't been in the company for a long time. Its the chance to explore your interest in travel industry as well as being able to travel too.
