I work in our HR department and I look after all of our internal communications which means everything that is communicated to our staff. This involves working with senior leaders to help their teams feel engaged which can mean working on conferences, briefings, meetings as well as writing emails and articles for our intranet.
Yes, I have learnt new skills and also developed existing skills. Something I have developed is my communication skills as this is the heart of what I do everyday and so I've learnt the best ways to communicate in different situations. I've also learnt facilitating and presentation skills as I regularly attend meetings to give updates on projects and facilitate sessions of my own.
I really enjoy my programme. Every day is different doing my job as I get to work with so many different areas of the business and so I learn so much about them. I'm always working on a multiple of different projects each with different aims and so I really enjoy being proactive and busy to help achieve the aims and do the best I can in everything that I work on.
We are now delivering the programme in-house so it is being organised well and it is very well structured now. I regularly have review meetings with my assessor so I always know what is going on and stay up-to-date with the programme. We also have catch ups with the wider team so the whole team know more about my progress.
My employer is extremely supportive and couldn't do more to help. I know that I can always approach someone at TUI and they'll be happy to help. The Early Talent team are really approachable and always help when I need it. They also arrange regular feedback sessions to check in on our apprenticeship.
I think that the qualification I'm doing works simultaneously with the role that I'm doing. The skills that I learn from studying the qualification are all transferrable and are ones that I use everyday. I can then use real life examples from my work to show that I'm using these skills when I complete my tasks.
There are loads of extra-curricular activities because we have a focus on wellbeing. We have lots of clubs that range from running club through to knitting club. We have lots of social events that take place in departments. I also help plan briefings which give you an opportunity to network and there are usually social activities after.

Be yourself as we have a really honest environment in which everyone is accepted. We want to see your personality so let that shine through in your application. Always remember our TUI Values which are to be Trusted, Unique and Inspiring and show us how you show these values everyday like all the staff at TUI strive to.
