i look aftr the portfolio of units we have on sale in Greece. I am responsible for deciding what we have on sale in my areas, looking at how well they perform based on sales, margin and customer feedback. I am responsible for initial pricing of my units at the beginning of the season, as well as paginating brochures and monitoring quality of my units
I have learnt to be more independent in my work. my old team was very 'everyone one the same work and its all equal' whereas in product I am responsible for my own areas, and aside from guidance from my managers, I am free to make decisions I deem necessary.
I have enjoyed the programme so far. in terms of the content of the apprenticeship, I have really enjoyed what I have learnt so far and it has been a much less stressful experience compared to sixth form. The commercial apprenticeship team are so helpful and friendly and make the apprenticeship a really enjoyable aspect of my job
The assessor situation in my apprenticeship has not been very good. I have had 4 assessors in 2 years and there felt to be a lack of consistency throughout my apprenticeship. Although I appreciate this is not my employers fault, but in fact the training provider, it has still been frustrating
My employer offers so much support. my manager asks me in all my one to ones how im getting on, if I feel like I have enough time etc. The CAS team are so helpful too as our workloads are discussed in our monthly catch ups - this is also nice to see how others are getting on and share problems/successes
Some of my assessors have been good. Although many have been quite reserved with the amount of support, meetings and resources they gave me for the work I was doing. I have felt for a lot of my apprenticeship I have been left to my own devices to get on with it
the apprenticeship content is very relevant t my role, and I often find myself using snippets of information in my day to day role. I feel like I have a much broader understanding of business as a whole , and how businesses work, operate, plan budget etc. As we got to choose many of our modules it has made it reverent for me
We have an entire team dedicated to extra curricular. They are referred to as commercial smiles team and they organise lots of fun events during lunch and after work for you to get involved in. They are great fun, and you get the chance to meet new people and socialise with people outside your team
Yes
The company has such a good working atmosphere, so much goes into colleague engagement and everyone who works here has such a like minded approach. I have loved every minute of working here as the opportunities are endless. whether you want to learn, develop or stay as you are, theres always the option there to push yourself if you wish
Just do it. I applied for uni as well as my apprenticeship. I turned down all my uni offers and decided to join TUI and do an apprenticeship. I honestly never looked back - I have got so much more out of working for tui than I would have at university.
