on a day to day basis I complete all jobs in a travel advisor's job in TUI in retail. This includes admin work, booking holidays, amendments, trading in the bureau and have become 3rd key holder since joining this job which has given my responsibilities in regards to banking, managing the shop and opening and closing procedures. If I am able I will have certain days blocked out to complete my apprentice work or complete off the job training to help bring up my hours for my tracker
I have learnt many new skills, for example trading in the bureau with a range of different currency as well like said in previous question becoming 3rd key holding has developed my skills from a general travel advisor to be more involved in the team and the company with figures, banking and conferences.
I enjoy my programme as I feel that this is shaping me to move into a bigger career in the future as well as helping my day to day task in work which has become quite enjoyable.
My programme is very organised in journey's and easily able to navigate around the system. I also have regular visits with my assessor which helps me complete certain work tasks.
I received a lot of support from my employer by giving me time to completed my assignments and journeys in a great time frames as well as providing many opportunities to learn new skills.
I receive a lot of support from my training provider in regards I am able to email my provider with questions and certain areas I am unsure about.
I feel that my qualification has helped me perform better in role as I have learnt more from what the company wants out of us in retail, as well as has given me more confidence in my role.
There is certain training days we are able to get involved with such as last year I went to a ship visit to learn more about a third party company celebrity, as well as Disney trainings days I have taken a part in.
Yes
because I have really enjoyed working for tui and have been treated fairly as well as the work load is not too much but is enjoyable.
To really be invested in this role and not think this is as easy as a normal store retail job there is a lot more that we do.
