  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • On a day to day basis I deal with holiday inquiries speak with customers, Do any admin jobs that are required such as checking off invoices issuing travel documentation and tickets, Greeting customers into the store , working the bureau and exchanging different types of currencies, opening the shop sometimes closing the shop, ensuring the shop is maintained clean and tidy .

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I've learned quite a bit since I've been working here, I've learned how to close the sale, ask open questions and talk to customers which lead me into being a lot more confident not only in my job but in my day to day life as well, I've learned how to keep calm under pressure which not only helps me in my job but in my day to day life as well. I'ts been an amazing learning experience and I couldn't be more grateful for it

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I really enjoy the program the mix between in real life learning and back office learning as well doing all the different apprenticeship tasks has just been amazing, I've learned things that I wouldn't have done if i did a degree in tourism for example. The written tasks and the job experience learning complement each other perfectly

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The program is organised and structured very well I know what needs to be done and when it needs to be done, I also know what is expected of me Carol my assessor is brilliant she is dependable for feedback always available if you need help and a good all around help.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I receive tons of support from my employer and this is from absolutely everybody, my colleagues, my assessor, my managers they are all very willing and happy to help me with any questions or any queries i might have. I couldn't have done it without them they have guided me quite a bit.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • I receive support if and when needed. Carol my assessor is easily accessible my email or telephone and is always on hand to answer any questions I might have. She's there to guide me with any problems I may have and is always willing to explain it to me 1000 times if need it until I understand it

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I feel like the qualification and the job compliment each other really nicely. What I'm learning especially the destination training comes in handy in my day to day job role. The more I know about the different destinations the better I can sell different holidays and make it look like im the Professional

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • There are a few extra curricular events such as meet up after work or a meal out with work colleagues every now and then, Christmas parties and training events or even educational where they fly you out to a destination so you can learn all about it and visit the different hotels there.

  • 9a. Would you recommend TUI UK & Ireland to a friend?
  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • Because Tui is a company that really tries to help you and help the customers in every way. Its also a very Ethical company with the Tui care foundation that is making changes across the world. Whenever there is a problem as a company we try our best to solve it and seeing everybody work together and come together to help somebody makes me proud to work for a company such as this.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to TUI UK & Ireland?
  • Its a lot of hard work but is really rewarding. No 2 days are the same everyday is different and there is a lot more to the job than just selling holidays but everybody I've met at work has been nothing short of amazing and they really did a good job at showing me the ropes. If your passion is travel like mine is look no further than Tui you will love it. We cross the T dot the I and put U in the middle.
