I'm an engineering apprentice. My job role involves in helping the site engineer's with breakdown, planned maintenance and proceeding with a given project. Through out the given jobs, I have learned many useful, new skills.
I have learned and developed skills such as, electrical wiring, lathe, milling, welding and system diagnostics techniques.
I enjoy most aspect the programme.
The programme is well structured because, you spend the first year at college learning about: mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, welding, machining and fitting. The second year, you spend 4 days at work where you improve your existing engineering skills then one day at college where you continue with accadimic skills.
My employer provides me with all the support that is possible.
The training provider supports all students through out the course.
I feel much more confident at my job now, due to the training and qualifications I have received.
Britvic provides a great outdoor team bonding activity for apprentice where you spend five days at lake district which involves activities such as, climbing, camping, swimming and canooing. Great fun.
