At Murraywood Construction I complete a multitude of tasks. Mainly including Fleet Management, IT Management, Operations and Maintenance Manuals, Quality & H&S Paperwork, CCS Accreditations and more.
I started my employment on a Level 2 Business apprenticeship, once complete I started my Chartered Management Degree. Since I started in 2017, I have undertook loads of training opportunities such as Mental Health First Aider, Fire Marshall etc.
I really enjoy the program, although we have the occasional mix up due to the degree being new it is still a good and informative course.
The programme isn't the best structured or organised. We have had many issues both with the course and with certain lecturers that have been discussed in Course Rep meetings.
My employer supports me all the time, I have a mentor in each department but all of the employees are willing to help me. If they are unsure, they point me in the right direction.
We receive a fair amount of support, but this can be difficult for some delegates on the course as they live further away. Sometimes the support hours are hard as we all work fulltime.
It helps me succeed more, the course has helped my mature into a Business Leader rather than a follower. I am more willing to suggest new ideas and accept the risks if it doesn't work.
I attend many networking events especially involved with Social Value and Procurement. I attend a lot of charity events, such as the Great Manchester Sleep Out to raise money for the Booth Centre and I mentor college students.
Yes
I have fell very lucky to be employed by my employer, they do their upmost to support me and everyone is willing to be a friend. I can speak openly with my directors and find comfort that they take on board what I say.
Try your best and we will support you along the way.
