Admin manager so In charge of all process, shrinkage, security, health and safety and compliance in store. Part of the senior leadership team. Have section leaders and colleagues sit under me. Day to day job around protection of profit, and compliance. New to role in last 3 months - worked on fresh replenishment prior.
Have developed skills academically so far in writing and critically thinking. Improved communication skills and confidence. As new to course haven’t really started fully increasing my skill set in role but know this will come in time. Only started course in the end of January 2020. I develop skills daily in my role.
Having started the programme at the end of January 2020 I feel l am just beginning to understand what it entails - the weekly activities we have to complete help keep up with new occurrences in retail with an academic point of view, which I can then relate to my own job role.
The weekly activities and lectures we have to listen to help keep structure and ourselves organised and to get into the habit of completely tasks timely. We attend university 3 times a year - which is a good balance for having a full time job - and allows us face to face time with our other cohort and lecturers.
Having only started the qualification I feel I haven’t needed the support from my employer yet - I need to get a structure in place to spend the time at work I need doing my work. I know that I will get the support from my line manager and store.
We received weekly feedback, web seminars, attend university 3 times a year. I haven’t needed to ask for any extra support but I know that if I needed to I could. There are various people I could ask - both academically and pastorally. The support is really good - and was clear from the start
