Working as a team and independently to help customers. Giving customers a great service and resolving issues a customer may have. Also working against time targets and hitting deadlines. Organising own workload following processes and ensuring accurate notes on an account. Making sure a customers move is efficient and stress free.
Yes . I have developed my skills on the phone especially my listening skills. Also it has helped me to be more confident in my ability to do my job. I am also better at questioning skills and more efficient at moving customers from one property to another. Plus more confident answering questions from customers
I have enjoyed the apprenticeship with Seetec and the lady who runs it is so enthusiastic. The support from Seetec has ben amazing and I have felt supported by her. The company itself is quite short on giving time to complete the work. I have had to complete some of this work at home.
The programme is very well structured with action plan for certain dates. The objectives are very clear and what needs to be acheived. Every month there is a learning log to complete and also a action plan of what sills I have and areas that i would like to develop.
Although Virgin does provide offline time its a struggle to learn a new job and complete this at the same time. The offline time is limited and unless you're very focused its difficult to get enough time to do the course. I had to complete some of the course in my own time.
I received a lot of support from the people running the apprenticeship. I had to repeat my maths as I did GCSEs before 2000. The lady was great supporting me in this and the lady who comes to support our apprenticeship work at Virgin is just fab. She really goes the extra mile.
I think there are certain aspects that help develop your role and it does allow you to reflect on processes and the way you do things. Also areas of improvement. Its also great to have a qualification for the future plus a refresh for Maths and its all free as part of the job.
There are many extra curricular events such as invitations to join sports teams. I love the fact Virgin does a charity dsy a year which is giving back to the community. There are regular activities such as spot prizes and if your doing well you are rewarded. There are also incentives available.
Yes
I would say yes for this one but it depends on the friend. If they are young adaptable to constant changes and enjoy pressure from targets then yes. For some targets such as handling time inspires performance. But for others it inspires stress. The money is fab and I have always found them fair. I do think the sickness policy is harsh. Also its easy to put on weight due to the nature of the job.
Virgin is based on behaviour. Its very militant. For example going on breaks at correct times etc. Which is difficult as you never know when you will get a call. If you like being indoors and are incentivised by money . Great perks such as reduced packages. Dont apply for this job if you like outdoors and like some degree of freedom. I find it difficult to sit for sometimes 2 hrs at a time. Get yourself to the gym. Its a mentally tiring job sometimes but if you have a great team lean on each other.
