I support 3 Relationship Managers and their portfolios. Providing support to their customers and assisting with the lending journey in order to get deals completed for the customer. I liaise with professionals to complete these. I ensure renewals of facilities are completed in a timely manner in order for the process of the business to remain low risk
I have developed my communication skills - and learnt how to act in a professional environment. When I first started I really struggled with answering the phone as I had a fear of how to compose myself with little experience of what I was talking about. With the help of the team I overcame this and now speak freely on the phone with customers
I do enjoy my programme, I enjoy my job role within HSBC However I do find the apprenticeship side to be a slightly grey area across HSBC as it differs between apprentices and which role they are doing. However I find the learning side of the course and the content in which I am learning interesting
I think the programme could be structured slightly better as I think the programme differs within HSBC in respect of which job role you do, where you're based and how many there are of you around. I think the programme is flexible on how you want to do it, however it does differ
Support from HSBC is available, however it isn't rigid. There is always time available to complete apprenticeship work, and we all meet as apprentices once a quarter. However we rely on the providers to complete
A lot of support from my talent coach - we have regular meetings all set up by our talent coach, she comes well prepared with resources to assist us with our learning. They are very informative
Learn a lot more about the background of the role - helps my background understanding
Yes - we have networking events on very regularly. This helps us to get to know our customers/industry. Also sporting events are held within the team, currently taking part in a wellbeing challenge (Kaido) to make the team more aware
Yes
Good way to progress all aspects of career - I have learnt a lot of skills from this role, career progression available
Be confident
