Working in a Scaled Agile Enterprise, deliver change to the business acting as the Scrum Master for these deliveries. Identify and manage risks, issues, blockers and escalate areas of concern. Act as a coach and mentor to support the team and be a motivational leader.
I have developed skills in presenting and public speaking. I have also become a lot more confident in myself as a person and leader. I have learnt a great deal in terms of establishing/setting up projects and continuing to build my knowledge of change delivery
I absolutely love the apprenticeship and have become an internal ambassador promoting apprenticeships - Helping people see past the barriers that may prevent them from signing up and completing it. The apprenticeship has also helped me secure a secondment to a new team for 12 months.
I think the programme is well structured, however the development days could be improved in terms of helping people build wider skills such as networking, building relationships, presentation skills and showing personal resilience.
I receive 20% of my time each week to undertake apprentice activity. My line manager is very supportive in moving me to work on activity that will hep my development and my mentor internally also offers guidance and support to align everything.
My most recent talent coach Nicola has been fantastic. She has challenged me and helped me establish goals/targets which motivates me further to achieve more and deliver to a high level. Previous talent coaches have been unhelp and unsupportive however.
I think the knowledge and skills it has taught me have been invaluable, I have secured a 12 month secondment in a new team where I will be able to further challenge myself and develop my knowledge, skills and also become exemplary in my behaviours as a leader.
I have attended leadership networking events. I have also been given the freedom to join external committees which shows my commitment to the Project Management profession and my ability to network with like minded professionals and learn from them.
Yes
A great company to work for who are invested in their people and committed to supporting them in their development.
Be yourself, be open, honest and appreciate the need for change; have an awareness of the digital era we are in and consider the changes/requirements needed in order to remain a contender in the marketplace without being left behind in technology advancements.
