I am part of an estimating team, that Processes ADSO, CRs, Etc, I also maintain the request tracker to get an idea of when we will be receiving requests from Project managers, which means talking to a number of people across the day
I have learned over the course of the last couple of months that I seem to be very good at retaining information when it has been taught practically, this has shown throughout my process when I am no longer dependent on the help sheet after 4 or 5 times through, this has also helped me in other extra learning for excel, and has encouraged me to take on board new things such as driving lessons and I am also considering learning a new language.

I really enjoy my program, the company culture is brilliant, everyone in it is nice, friendly and really easy to get along with, it's made it a lot more easier to adjust to things and therefore has made a very comfortable working/learning environment for me.
I feel very valued as a part of IBM, my colleagues get along with me and trust me to do tasks that I may not have had much experience in, I also feel I get a lot more respect outside of work also, with IBM as my employer. However I do still feel like I should be proving myself more, not necessarily due to any expectations from anyone else, but from myself
when I arrived at my role there was already a lot of information and guide packs set up ready for me, and I couldn't be more thankful for the amount of effort that was put into them, and they are usually always ready to help me with any problems I come across
My manager has also been very supportive and we seem to get on pretty well, it's been pretty hard for me to see my manager with all of my city hopping, but we are starting to slow down a bit and get into a consistent system, and I look forward to hearing what my feedback is in my PDM interview this week.
Since I've started the scheme IBM have been absolutely fantastic in terms of costs, I have been working in Preston for a large part so far and I am very grateful to feel safe in the knowledge that all of the cost that are needed of me are easily covered by the scheme.
There are a lot of outside events from IBM in many different groups, when I'm with the other members of my intake I go out with them, I also go out with people in Preston, for dinners and other social events. Other Events, such as THINK Foundation, are also good opportunities to socialize, meet new people and expand your network
Yes
Honestly one of the best jobs I've ever had
Make sure you're relaxed and let your personality shine through, it's not always necessarily about how much you know, but how much you're willing to learn.
