Yes before working in the workshop I knew nothing about fixing cars but over the time I have developed skills in the workplace about anything from fixing to knowing where to look to find leaks or anything broken in the vehicle now I can work faster and more confident knowing i can complete the job.
I enjoy my program alot as i like developing new skills in the workshop and finding new friends in the workplace as I enjoy the hands on aspect of the job and I am satisfied when I completed a job as I like this program as as I like the idea of working as a team in the workshop
Very organized as we can learn the basics at the start in the workshop getting a hands on feel with the vehicle then later on going to college to learn the more tricky aspect of the mechanical job where we meet trained tutors where we can understand more on the vehicle's
We receive alot of support from the employer as I felt more comfortable fitting into the workplace when I first joined as this makes me fit in and can start learning quicker as they still help me develop later and set times to go to college getting there and back
We receive alot of support from our training provider when working towards my qualifications as they come down and visit and see how we are doing in the workplace and how we can improve by setting up dates to go to college so we can expand my knowledge on cars
I feel alot more confident with the qualification to perform better in my role as when we are at college I am getting a better understanding of the role that I perform in the workplace as this qualification makes me more confident to carry out a task or job on site
