My role involves monitoring IT Incidents, this can relate to local incidents involving bespoke applications to global IT incidents. I do trend analysis, root cause analysis and communicate out current incidents. I look at issues with the service desk, and any incidents that need investigating further.
Yes I'm learning how to use new data analysis tools, I've completed ITIL 4 foundation training and Lean Six Sigma.
I enjoy using my brain, and learning new skills. Its nice to see improvements I've made to the incident process.
It was quite slow to onboard me with the apprentice provider and I was waiting around for a month and a bit not knowing what work I could be completing. But now it seems much more organised with regular reviews and targets.
Lots of support from Siemens with weekly catch ups to discuss how the training is going, and decide what i want to work on the following week.
Lots of support, my work is very flexible and they offer working from home days. I take one day a week at home to work on my apprenticeship, and have been offered more if I want to take it.
It varies, but as a whole it is quite good.
They hold regular social activities, and team working.
Yes
It is a place that offers flexible working, and they are invested in your development.
