I am an aircraft maintenance apprentice, day to day at the moment I am studying to get my A license. Mostly theory based but am also getting experience in workshops and hangars.
I am currently developing my hand skills and knowledge of the industry.
I am really proud to work for BA and enjoy the apprenticeship, I would recommend to anyone.
It could be better personally, but overall everything is setup and planned well.
I haven’t received a lot of support from them, but resource group who I am training with do offer a lot.
A lot more than my employer, they have scheduled in re sits in appropriate times.
It is helping me gain my A license which I need for my job.
Not that I’m fully aware of at the moment.
Yes
It is a brilliant company to work for and an amazing career choice that’s unlike any other engineering role. This apprenticeship will give me a ticket to anywhere in the world.
They do provide you with accommodation for the first year when training away, but not when you are back on placement. Be aware that it did cost a lot for me to stay at Heathrow.
