  • Working on aircraft with tools and equipment learning new handskills and aircraft systems and keeping the aircraft serviceable and airworthy in accordance with approved company and maintenance data.

  • I have learnt how to use tools to maintain various types of aircraft systems including hydraulics and avionics

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I enjoy coming to work and being on shift. The mechanics, technicians and engineers who I work with make the hangar and enjoyable place to be and learn

  • Our programme is well structured. We know what we will be doing and when from the day we start our programme

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • We revive constant support from BA. Our apprenticeship managers are always around when we need them, but also our shift managers are always happy to cooperate with us

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • Our training provider does it’s best to help us through our NVQ. Our assessor is always communicating with us and trying to get us through our NVQ as easily as possible

  • Our qualification allows us to complete specific maintenance tasks that we may not do again

  • BA has lots of sports activities and company sports clubs to get involved with

  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • British Airways Engineering is a world wide recognised engineering company with years of MRO experience in the industry and it shows when working with engineers on the shop floor. They are very knowledgeable of the aircraft types and are happy to train new apprentices for the future of the company.

  • Be confident and yourself during your assessment day
