Yes, learnt lots of new practical skills regarding programming, testing, system development and web design. Developed existing knowledge around business processes/theories such as organisational structures and business cases.
I really enjoy the chance to learn new skills, especially the practical skills, and also getting to network with people from a variety of employers/industry types to learn how things are done elsewhere.
Assignment deadlines could be better thought out given that we have full time jobs - there is 3 weeks Easter break coming up where it would be Ideal/easier to take study days to finish these off, yet most of the deadlines are just before Easter. Induction week was a good idea to be in uni for the full week to kickstart. Overall 1st year has been well structured with the units ran alongside each other and the chance to choose your pathway once you have studied a little.
I am fairly independent however I know my line manager is extremely supportive if/when i do need anything.
