My role involves creating requirements and designing new features to implement onto the infotainment systems on new JLR cars.
I have developed my skills in coding languages such as python and c ++, in addition to this i have learnt how to develop robust functional and non functional requirements for hardware and software.
I enjoy my programme a lot as it incorporated a large proportion of time at university (first 3-4) months, whilst also allowing me to implement the learning within my job role.
The programme structure is very good as it allows the students to get the university experience whilst working.
The support received from the employer is vast, especially as fellow employees in the team have helped me on non work related university studies.
There are university weeks every 6th week combined with a day off each week as and when required to study, further Warwick Uni are available to offer help.
The qualification doesn't always help in your job role as roles can vary a lot. However JLR run training courses internally for employees to develop their skills, for example in how to draw a LAD.
