I am a health care assistant in a dementia care home I help to provide good quality care to the residents and assist them with daily tasks such as personal care and feeding
I learned how to communicate better and overcome barriers of communication. I also learned how to identify signs and symptoms of abuse
Meeting with my assessor, she always encouraged me and made sure I was on target with my qualification
Very well structured I understand what I needed to do and had regular contact with my assessor
My employer was good and allowed me to see my assessor during work hours
My assessor was Brilliant she supported me on the phone and email if I ever needed help between visits, she also made sure we met at least once a month to discuss and go through any work outstanding
The training company paragon was fantastic they encouraged me to complete my qualification and offered support throughout.. if I was to do another qualification I would definitely use paragon

They are amazing very supportive and nothing is too much for them. My assessor was very knowledgeable and understood my job role
