  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • My role involves servicing and repairing the chp engines, which give heat and power to surrounding areas. I will normally shadow a engineer and help him with certain problems. I will also pick up parts from cannock or go to Leicester to complete similar tasks as I would in Birmingham.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The organisation of my programme was not as good towards the start, however as time went on the programme was improving and I was able to understand the details of the programme. Overall, the structure of the programme has improved and it definetly runs more smoothly than it was before.

  • 9a. Would you recommend Equans to a friend?
  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • It is a company which will take abit to get used to however once you are able to get used to the job role, you would definitely enjoy yourself and be able to improve your engineering skills and your personal skills. You will always wake up excited to find out what you are doing for the day.

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Equans?
  • Firstly, do not be shy with applying for Engie apprenticships. Secondly, Lĺlyou may have to work abit more than you expect and have to get used to working under time limits and doing repairs and jobs to the best standard. The jobs themselves are as hard as you make them. Finally, take pictures of step by step instructions for each job and make notes to help you remember what you did.
