  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • There is no typical day-to-day experience at PwC, each day can be different with a wide variety of tasks that are to be completed. An opportunity to work alongside many different clients in helping them produce their returns.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have learnt many new skills, including mainly the ability and the knowledge on how to use excel and google sheets. As well as this, developing other skills such as communication, this has been crucial when speaking with other colleagues and also clients.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • The programme is hard, but also enjoyable. This is because the time given between studying for exams and then sitting the exams is short. However, the programme is enjoyable as everybody at work in the office is friendly, and nice to be around.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • From PwC, the programme is well organised in that it is clear when various things will be taking place, the structure of this is however slightly odd as it would make sense for certain training to be much sooner.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • The support received is excellent. Each student has a career coach with whom they can speak with in relation to any issues that they may have, they are always available and will be happy to help no matter what.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • The training provider - Kaplan, is okay. They are not amazing, however, they do ensure that you have got all the material required to be able to pass the exam, but they can be very unorganised and difficult to get hold of to sort out any problems.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • My qualification has given me the backbone of understanding for the work that I am completing at PwC. This is very helpful as it ensures I have the underlying technical knowledge to ensure that I understand the work that I am completing.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • There are many extra-curricular activities to get involved with in a wide range of areas. Socials, sports events. These are all available to everyone in the firm.

  • 9a. Would you recommend PwC to a friend?
  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • PwC is a good place to work and the flexibility that they offer employees is second to none. There is a wide range of people, from all ages and so everybody can always find someone who they are able to get along well with.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to PwC?
  • Do your research into the PwC values before completing any of the interview stages. Always make sure that you don't overpower anybody else and be willing and ready to learn more every single day.
