The purpose of my role is to rotate around different departments within Consulting to understand the core skills. I get involved with a range of tasks which vary day to day, including report writing, analysis, financial reporting and supporting higher grades within the team.
I have learnt how to be more confident. I have developed on my communication so that it suits different audiences. I have developed a lot of IT skills, including Excel, Powerpoint, Website building.
I have really enjoyed being a part of this programme.
The programme is very organised, where we receive a lot of training and support from the firm. We are given sufficient time to study and all of the teams are supportive and are always encouraging of helping me to develop in my skills and knowledge.
We are allocated a buddy, who has been through the same experience as us to help provide support and advice. We also have a career coach who provides support, ensures we are achieving goals and someone to voice any concerns too.
The tutors provided by my provider are very good and have extensive knowledge. My talent coach has changed for a third time which is inconsistent and leads to me having to repeat and send the same information repeatedly which is a little frustrating.
I feel like the exams that I have undertaken do relate to my role, specifically the last exam. The first four were more generic to help us understand the business and accounting environment.
Yes the company do organise a wide range of events to help build a community, especially between the other apprentices which is nice.
