  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • I work on a variety of jobs which vary from day to day. I help prepare deliverables for a wide range of clients. The different deliverables I prepare are partnership tax returns, management accounts and annual accounts.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have learned so many new skills since joining, such as how to work under pressure, how technology can enhance and add value to your work, and more technical aspects such as an understanding of tax knowledge and accounting disclosures.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I love my programme, I am so supported from the great network I have from those in work to my training provider. The programme is very fast paced but it helps you to gain confidence in yourself and your own abilities.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • When I started I was given a training programme calendar so that I can see in advance when my exams are and when to start studying for them. In addition to this, we have an online platform for each exam to work through to cover all of the content required.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I receive a lot of support, I have people within work who will help with my questions and help me to juggle work and study and well as tutors at Kaplan who are available to talk through any areas of which I am finding difficult.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • Kaplan is a great training provider, they have an online platform which is easy to access and they have tutors that are available throughout the day for you contact. e.g. if you are struggling with a question you can request a call from one of the tutors to help.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I have recently done an accounting exam and this has enabled me to be more confident when posting journals and it has also helped me to understand the working behind financial statements so that i am able to prepare them better.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • At work I am not involved in any groups, however as a team we often have socials where we all get together and do something fun. This is great as you get to know the other people in your team.

  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • PwC is such a great place to work for, everyone is so friendly and happy to help. The office is a great environment to be in and you meet a variety of different people who you probably would not otherwise get to speak to.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to PwC?
  • My tips for applying to PwC would be to be confident and go for it, the application process can be a bit long but it is so worth it. Just enjoy the process and be yourself.
