Day to day I deal with approvals for garments which are sent over from our hubs in various different countries. I lease with suppliers and contribute to ensuring things run smoothly on the team. I also complete other administrative tasks such as raising orders for new garments.
Yes i have developed many new skills. I now know how to differentiate colour and what terminology to use when communicating with suppliers so that they clearly understand what we want them to do. My excel skills have also massively increased.
I very much enjoy the programme as I am finally working in the environment i have always wanted to work in; surrounded by clothes, creativity, and other people who are passionate about fashion.
It is reasonably well organised, there is no set learning process at work which is hard because i came into this not knowing a single thing. However I do believe you learn quickly and it is best to learn with experience day to day.
I receive massive support from my employer and know i always have someone to go to if i am struggling with anything or have a question to ask.
I receive support from my training provider over email and we have quarterly progress reviews.
I dont feel it massively contributes much towards my role, however certain parts of the course do more than others e.g. the section on the course which teaches us about building a range.
Yes there are many, i play netball on mondays after work with F&F.
Yes
It is a great place to work where you are viewed as equal no matter what your role and Tesco really cares about the world in regards to sustainability which really matters to me.
I would say be yourself 100% and dont try to be someone your not. Also dont ever be scared to ask a question because everyone is more than happy to help. No question is silly.
