Engineering placements ranging from lineside quality roles to stress and fatigue support.
Both. I've improved my technical engineering, problem solving, and critical thinking skills, in addition to my soft-skills when interacting with other employees. I am now more confident in dealing with issues within work
I would reccomend this programme to anyone with an interest in engineering and manufacturing. I enjoy the programme and couldn't think of anything i'd rather be doing over this three year period.
the programme is well organised and structuredalmost all of the time.sometimes things can become more unclear although all of these issues are quickly cleared up by management.
I am supported by my employer within work to allow me to complete tasks to the best of my ability (both academically and within my role in the company). I am also supported to take part in activities outside of work, including STEM events.
The majority of the time, i am well supported by my training provider. the distance and seperation between swansea univerity and airbus sometimes causes issues in the amount of support we are able to be given.
the qualification i am undertaking helps to provide a deeper understanding and knowledge of the product, helping in problem solving and critical thinking within work.
yes. there are multiple clubs and activities set up by airbus to take part in, in addition to networking events and also STEM outreach events. fir example, i will soon be returning to my college to present to the students regarding STEM and apprenticeship opportunities within the UK.
Yes
this apprenticeship is an amazing opportunity, providing experience within a top employer, a great education and all of the benefits mentioned above.
be prepared to work hard
