Systems apprentices learn skilled manufacturing of the aircraft along side electrics, fuel systems and hydraulics.
Hand skills have improved alot. Ability to read technical drawings Becoming a skilled worker. Improved Mathematics and English skills Improved computer skills.
It's very interesting if you put the effort to learn into the programme. No two days are the same and its fascinating being in the aircraft workshop
Very well organised. First year is college based Second and third years in the aero factory with one day as a college day.
Monthly 1 to 1 meetings with early careers manager and monthly group meetings They are available when ever support is needed.
Alot. They have structured the working week so we have fridays off to complete required work load.
Very much. I have a good understanding of how the aircraft works and why it is built in a certain way. Knowing why you are doing the work adds to the experience.
Sports, education liaison, open days, guest speakers, there is plenty to do.

Great pay. Great course learning a skilled job. Great colleagues who make the experience second to none.
Research the company. Show that you are interested in the product as a whole. Passion to learn is more important than skills.
