Working in a team supporting production, ensuring deadlines are met and helping manage workers in the factory to keep production going.
I've developed my communication skills as I talk to a wide range of people in work. I have learnt a lot about the wider business and how it operates, not just our wing site here in Broughton but also our sites across the UK.
I really enjoy the programme, as each placement is different and exciting learning new things and meeting new people.
The programme is well organised, I rotate between 11 departments staying in each for 3 months each. I then get to choose my final department and if possible apply for a full time job there.
I receive support from my placement manager who helps me learn the job and also from my Early Careers manager who helps organise the placements and also with any problems I might have.
I receive support from my college as not only are the lecturers incredibly helpful and willing to support with answering questions but I also have a tutor who I can arrange meetings with to discuss my work and any issues I might have.
It allows me to really apply the theories I learn into a real workplace environment and this helps me learn but also understand the way the business works. I have seen managers using theories and acting according to them which shows them in a real life scenario.
I attend social events with the work social group, Gen-A. We have been on nights out, go-karting and also plan on arranging a charity three peaks. I also go to weekly football which has given me the opportunity to meet people in the business which I may not have met.

It is a great opportunity to gain a degree while also gaining experience in a great work environment which stimulates you on a daily basis. Also working alongside study has allowed to excel as I have real life example and applications to everything I learn.
Don't give up, it is a tough process but well worth the hard work you put in to get on to the programme.
