My role involves completing reviews for Small Business Banking customers. I will assist with lending requests up to £30,000.
Since started the apprenticeship I've developed communication, teamworking and analytical skills. As well as built upon areas I felt needed development. My professionalism in the workplace has drastically improved.
I really enjoy the programme. All of the other apprentices are highly intelligent and motivated individuals and this is something I greatly appreciate. All of my colleagues have been supportive in my onboarding.
The course, from the start, has run cohesively and all the foundations were built before progressing.
Managers, colleagues and other apprentices have been hugely supportive to my needs both on and off the job. Everyone has offered help and have been vital in my onboarding with the company.
The course works with the London Institute of Banking and Finance and I have the ability to call or email my lecturer whenever I need help. The team at LIBF have been massively supportive.
The Banking and Financial Management degree is very relevant to my day to day job and will hopefully become more relevant the further I progress in the course.
I have just joined the People Committee in my team and I hope to soon be involved with the sustainability team.

The opportunities are endless. Banks are not just people calculating interest rates. Most job titles in the world can exist in a bank. Additionally, there have been so many opportunities to network with really great people that I have been able to build relationships with.
HSBC is genuinely a lovely place to work for. There's a huge emphasis on the people so if you're going to an interview just be yourself and friendly.
