On a day-to-day basis, my role involves me engaging with customers over the telephone, helping customer with their business banking needs, this can range from BIB, commercial cards, general enquiries and lost and stolen whilst doing my appenticeship coursework and exam
I have learnt how to support customer with their business needs, by developing good communication skills to ensure the customers are getting the service required. I have learnt things about different sectors in the business by revising from the Business Banking book
I really enjoy the programme, learning whilst I earn has been really beneficial. I have gained knowledge and skills about business banking and HSBC whilst working for the bank. Having the extra day a week to revise, develop myself and having time to ensure I am up to date.
The structure of the programme is good. I have a talent coach who is ready to help at any moment to support me with coursework and exam revision, I attend Apprenticeship meetings in Birmingham with other apprentices from HSBC but in different roles.
I receive a lot of support from my Team Manager, they are always willing to help me with my apprenticeship and my job role. I know that I have many people I can rely on if I need guidance.
I receive a lot of support from my training provider, he is always willing to help. Any time that I need him or I am struggling to understand a topic he will arrange meeting or if he can't, he will reply to me via email.
I feel that my qualification helps me to perform better in my role as I have a better understanding of business banking and what is expected in each department.
There are extra-curricular activities to get involved in. I haven't yet attened one but hoping to in the future.
Yes
I would recommend HSBC to a friend as a great place to work, so many great benefits, good support and it is a good place to work, especially when doing the apprenticeship scheme.
Be yourself and be confident
