  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I hope it will help as we are very project oriented and this is what the apprenticeship is about but I can't say for sure until it has actually started.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • There are lots of networking opportunities and there is always activities going on in the background. We are also a very close knit team so do socialise outside of work quite often.

  • 9a. Would you recommend HSBC to a friend?
  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • Good benefits, generally a positive place to work. It is not without it's faults but what workplace isn't. Generally the teams I've worked on here are great and the leadership is very supportive of any development opportunities.

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to HSBC?
  • Be prepared for whatever role you are applying for. When I first came aboard HSBC it was in a role that I really didn't enjoy and it made it a more negative first expression than it could have been.
