I am a digital apprentice who has only just joined the data analytics team within EY. Since September I have been working with audit teams on various clients by; requesting evidence, documenting the evidence, testing of accounts using various EY software etc. I have found this quite challenging as it feels you are thrown in the deep-end from time-to-time.
EY has taught me many IT-based skills and helped my become competent in using excel and various analytical software. They've also helped me develop my presentation skills.
As much as I enjoy working for EY, I feel that the digital apprenticeship is greatly unstructured and my peers and I are felt slightly lost in regards to what our responsibilities are and who we turn to for assistance. This partly due to EY and partly due to QA as they give us conflicting information.
There is plenty of support within EY but you must seek it out, this is something I struggled with to begin with but help is always available if you ask.
I have found QA difficult to deal with as the support they provide isn't clear.

Whilst there are some struggles (as any job would have), this is the best opportunity I have been given. I'm really excited about my future and there are great experiences to be had here!
Do your homework on EY and be yourself, as good as your qualifications are they take personalities into great consideration.
