Mainly administrative, I support partners by arranging meetings, processing expenses, booking travel, and other ad hoc tasks.
I have developed my communication skills, my IT skills, organisation skills, and I have learned how to use Microsoft packages effectively.
I enjoy my job and working with my colleagues. I enjoy the apprenticeship side less as I feel it is poorly managed by BPP.
EY is very well organised. BPP is less so. The communication is poor, their technology has fail the apprentices on more than one occasion, and I dislike the learning materials.
I get all the support I need from my employer. I have a mentor and at least two coaches who support me. The team is very nice and willing to help me when needed. There are a lot of learning resources on the internal website.
They provide us with learning materials and they do always answer questions. However, they don't always explain things well in the first place, and their coordination is bad.
The qualification is very relevant to the role I am in and it helps me to understand my role better.
Yes, there are networking events for EAs and there are also opportunities to assist in the running of events.
Yes
EY is a pleasant place to work with a friendly atmosphere and many opportunities to take advantage of. As EY is such a large successful company, it offers an abundance of learning resources that can boost your CV and improve your skills. This is especially useful as an apprentice. Also, the salary is decent.
Research the company and the service line. Show an interest in the company's values. Be motivated and eager to learn new skills.
