I attended many conferences and was assigned tasks to carry out.we were also taken to different events to network with people and understand more about the roles they play at EY.Finally we completed a CMI qualification which included various tasks such as dragons den, answering questions relating to our experience etc
I learnt how to become more confident and openly communicate with people from different fields.Ive also learnt to work with people that I wouldn't usually work with whilst also maintaining professionalism and confidentiality within the working environment on a daily basis. Finally I learnt how to problem solve especially when I was given tasks to carry out on a specific time frame
I enjoyed my programme very much.I feel very privileged to have had the opportunity to work on such a well renowned firm with a excellent reputation.I feel like it has given me a better understanding of what career path I would like to work towards.Fianlly I really enjoyed meeting my mentors and learning more about their role at EY
My pprogramme was very organized. It consisted of a two week programme.During the first week we met some people from firms and carried out group activities under a strict time frame. We also completed our CMI qualification.During the second week we all split up into various groups and attended conferences, events
We received a lot of support from our mentor and leader of the programme. They were both very helpful and made us meet people that could potentially help us get on to another programme at EY.I think they were also good as they understood we were just school kids and weren't experienced in what we were doing
At the start of the programme I wss very nervous as I wasnt sure what we would be asked to do.However my training provider guided and mentored us throughout. He also gave us taskes in sections and didn't pile it on us and expect us to complete everything
I think my CMI qualification has helped me apply to university as my programme and work experience stood out from the rest of my peers.Aside from this I also feel like I've gained a lot of skills that i can use in the future whether that be for a job,or just when meeting new people
There were a lot of networking events that we attended which I feel helped me open up more and become more comfortable talking to new people especially adults. We also attended a gathering near a park where all the employees socialized and got to know us a bit more, which was really enjoyable
Yes
I think EY is one of those companies that not only care about getting the work done but they also care about customer satisfaction and how their employers are coping within the working environment.I also feel that it's very flexible and allows you to work on different projects
I would tell then to be open about the opportunity as it's very broad in what you get to do.I also think they should have good communication skills and seem interested in their field. Finally I think that if you want to apply you should be able to take on different challenges and realise no two days are the same
