two weeks which included watching presentations from ey employees, doing activities such as a task based on dragons den and completing learning logs that led to a level 2 cmi in team leading
communication skills were developed, including networking. furthermore, my presentation skills were developed as a result of the dragons den task and i also believe my problem solving skills were enhanced as part of some other tasks
i really enjoyed my work experience as it was a good environment to be in, the staff there treated us equally and not like kids as id expected
there were some tasks but i’d have liked there to be more hands on work, and maybe less presentations if that’s what had to be cut out
employees were really nice which was unexpected as we had no experience of corporate culture, moreover they were happy enough to explain anything we had a query about and gave us mentors to help with this further
it definitely helped me decide that i wanted to stay away from more boring jobs that don’t really have a close relationship with clients
we were given food tokens on the first week which meant we were able to get food and then were paid for this week of work on the weekend which meant that when they stopped giving us food tokens, we were able to still get food
all the time, we have had several events since and every event has been a networking opportunity
Yes
it’s good to get a step up into corporate culture and it also helps when deciding what to do in the future
be prepared
