Worked in the VAT and Indirect Tax team within the Tax department. Tasks included: drafting emails and documents for clients and team members.
As part of the programme I took part in a series of workshops and was awarded a Level 2 CMI qualification in Team Leading.
This has been insightful in shaping my understanding of these professional environments. This experience has definitely been able to change my opinion as it has shown me how the finance industry is very open, showing how I can apply my interests within the industry. Furthermore, I was able to prioritise and manage my school work balance as I prioritised when I needed to do work for my exams
The work experience was well organised with the first week consisting of the workshops which we did to earn the team-leading qualification. The second week was the actual work experience it was more relaxed but still had lots of talks and presentations
Learnt a lot about company culture and the work they do. I saw the emphasis on teamwork and corporation

Yes, we were paid a nice amount for the 2 weeks we worked. Lunch was provided in the first week, the second week it was not. Travel cost was not reimbursed.
A lot of opportunities to network. the facilitators for the workshops were employees themselves working in different parts of the company. During the second week, you are assigned a buddy for the work experience who you shadow. You are given a mentor but mine did stop responding to emails after a while
Yes
Great place to get some paid work experience especially if you are unsure about your future plans.
Apply with an open mind, regardless of what department you are placed in its a great experience and something great to have on your CV
