It was a 3 week programme where it Involved working with others that you are unfamiliar with in the first week and building skills and relationships. Second week, is practicing interview and cv techniques and the third week was the business experience. You work with others in a corporate environment -Accounting
I developed many skills such as team working skills in a group of 10 unfamiliar people. Building confidence in tasks like presentations infront of everyone and I learnt social skills and how to interact with people from all different backgrounds. I also learnt how to become more independent especially whilst working in the corporate environment alongside many workers
I enjoyed it very much as it gave me an insight on how a working life is and how a typical 9-5 day job works and what it involves. However, since I was working in the Tax sector which isn’t my best interest, I didn’t really enjoy it that much.
It was very organised. Everything was planned way ahead, presentations where already up there ready. Break and Lunch time was specific times and it was very pleasant and calming experience. All staff members knew what to do and didn’t waste any time and it was shown in their presentations
I learnt a lot about the company culture, it was embedded in good morale and all employees do not hesitate to contact each other. It would be very easy to talk to people and work together and working there would be a pleasant. Everyone is so nice friendly and warming
My work experience helped me a lot on deciding my future path as It gave me a great insight about the job role and what exactly happens in that work environment and it has made me a lot confident now on what I’m intended to do in the future.
Yes I was paid hourly and reimbursed for any travel expenses which I was delighted to seek
Yes there was many opportunities for me to meet other employees. They told me a lot about their job roles and how they got into their position. I met a lot of school leavers which was warming and I also networked with people from different counties via Skype for group interviews
Yes
As I think EY is a great safe place to work and engage with others without hesitation and the work environment was very warming and I felt very comfortable whilst working there as everyone is really nice and jolly. You get to seek a lot of opportunities and learn new skills along with it
Be urself and ask many Questions to the workers there as they are very nice and will honestly tell you about their experience and what they do.
