  • Yes, I can now: -confidently hang artworks for exhibitions -Carry out minor repair and cleaning works of objects -construct 'build-ups' for frames works

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The first year consisted of theory based learning and assessments in addition to hands-on training, and the final two years will be on-the-job training. I feel that given the nature of the role, this is the best was to progress.

  • My line manager, supervisors and colleagues within the department have been very supportive to my development and training.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • Communication could be improved.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I had more communication with the training provider during the initial year with coursework. Through them, I have completed BKSB level 2 in maths and ICT.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • I am a member of the social committee. we organise events for staff such as quizzes, wine tasting sessions, and yoga.

  • 9a. Would you recommend University of Oxford to a friend?
  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • I have had a positive experience and the opportunities are great. Only negative is that whilst the University are a Living Wage employer, that isn't necessarily enough to pay for rental of property, commuting and general living costs.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to University of Oxford?
  • Consider where you plan to live carefully due to commuting and rental costs.
