On a day-to-day basis, I shadow operators and learn about the process in different departments on site. I'm also completing two qualifications at the same time, City & Guilds, and SVQ 3.
I have developed my presentation skills, ad have learned specific parts of the job and the theory behind the departments I have learned in so far.
I love my apprenticeship programme!
My programme is extremely well structured as I spent a certain amount of time training in the different departments on site, gaining a good knowledge of the different processes.
I receive a great amount of support from my employer. They go over and above to support apprentices.
I receive a good amount of support from my training provider. I am given notes to work away on, while I can get in contact and ask for help and an explanation when I feel as if I could do with a push in the right direction.
I feel like my qualification helps me perform a lot better in my role as I can apply the in depth knowledge I gain from the qualification, in order to greater understand the processes on site.
There are some extra-curricular activities, such as football.
