At the moment we attend college full time Monday to Friday to gain our HNC and PEO in engineering practice.
I have been taught a variety of skills, such as the theory behind different facets of engineer. Practical skills will be developed once we arrive on site.
I think the program has been a great experience. I have been taught so many new skills and my confidence has improved.
The program has clear deadlines for when tasks have to be completed each year.
We have continued to receive support from out line manager through the during of being in college which has helped us stay current with GSK news.
Our training provider has been quite disorganised unfortunately as there have been issues with staffing.
I would say that my qualification helps me understand the terminology needed to better skills in the workplace. It has also helped me to learn the basic skills needed when doing practical work.
Yes, there have been numerous team building events organised as well as volunteering opportunities presented in our work.
