Each day is different as I encounter new clients and accounts to audit. I experience a range of locations to work in as I often work at client site with the audit team, and I encounter new people and challenges each day.
Confidence and communication skills are key skills which I have developed and we are constantly encouraged to learn more and pick up new skills.
Working with new people and new clients is enjoyable. There is a large network who is always there to support you and have a laugh with.
The programme is very well structured, allowing a good balance of work/life/study.
Within the firm, there is a large focus on the support network available. No matter what your query is there is always someone who will be happy to help and know exactly what you need to know.
The support provided is very good. With a mix of face to face classes and online studies where we can reach out to lecturers at any time.
So far, I believe that this has helped me gain an understanding of what I am actually auditing as I have gained an understanding about all things accountancy related.
The social life at EY is very pronounced, with several different groups that can be joined and many activities planned all year round.
Yes
EY provides a great work life balance with the flexible working scheme. You are also coached through everything and there is a huge support network to help you along the way.
Just be yourself and don't panic or be nervous. The application process may be daunting but well worth it in the long run.
