My role is to support analyst in researching various different funds to be included in our portfolios. This ranges from providing reports, collating meeting notes and loading data into systems such as Bloomberg to going out with analysts to fund meetings and writing reports. My role is largely flexible and I am a source of help and support whenever I am needed.
I have learnt lots of new skills: - Systems such as Bloomberg, Morningstar, StyleAnalystics and Microsoft. - I have learnt how to take minutes and filter relevant and irrelevant information. - Industry specific knowledge. - Developed my team building skills.
I enjoy my programme 100% of the time. My manager is brilliant, My team is kind and supportive 24/7, I am given responsibility and respect and I have constant opportunities to learn new things.
My programme is well structure. We often get invites to courses and lectures. We have an exam to work towards. While working, there can only be so much structure in order to get a balance between learning and doing tasks.
A lot, if there is anything I need I know where to get it and who to contact.
I receive a fair amount, not much of it is exam specific.
Much better. My exam gives me the knowledge to understand far more about my role and why I am doing the tasks. It allows me to understand analyst decisions and leads me to develop my own ideas.
