I attended 2 weeks of interactive workshops on topics expanding business knowledge like business writing, networking with professionals, coaching. In addition, workshops included topics like personal finance and personal branding. After these weeks, I worked with my mentor to create a business plan for my social enterprise idea.
I became more confident in my own ability. I developed presenting skills, especially in a professional manner. I improved my ability to work in teams effectively, e.g. by compromising and adapting leadership styles. I learnt how to network with professionals and also, how to use social media for this.
I really enjoyed my experience because I learnt a lot of useful skills and got to meet a lot of great business professionals.
It was pretty well organised. There was always tasks organised, always lunch organised and the staff helping us were always prepared, even when dealing with technical difficulties.
I didn’t learn massive amount about company culture as we typically worked in one room with the other interns and a couple of employees. However I did understand that it was a competitive work place.
It did help somewhat. It helped me realise that I am more suited to using business in a way that will help underprivileged people. By working at a large corporation, it helped me realise that I’m not as well suited to commercial and corporate business.
Yes. I was paid £6 an hour for 30 hours a week for 3 weeks. All lunch was paid for by the company but we weren’t reimbursed for travel.

Yes plenty. We met many different employees daily as different people came to deliver our tasks. In addition, i was given a tour of the office by mentor in which I got to meet many other employees. It helped me to build my LinkedIn network massively.
Yes
They’re professional, organised, deliver to a high standard and eager to help with development and training of others.
Make sure you are prepared to work really hard and apply yourself in every way possible whether that’s presenting, networking or problem solving.
