Cellar service, installation of beer equipment.

2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Yes, since starting my apprenticeship with marstons I've acquired many skills within the trade and feel my progression in the field is excelling.

3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I enjoy my role in the business and everything upto now is great and I'm enjoying the work I'm doing for the company.

4. How well organised/structured is your programme?

The organisation is good, I have a set plan on when I'm out in the field and when I'm in the classroom doing written work for my qualification.

5. How much support do you receive from your employer?

I receive great support from my employer. The managers are there to help me when needed and I can go to them with a problem without hesitation, which I find great.

6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

I receive good support from the provider. There isn't anything more they can do.

7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

I feel it does help and I gain a better understanding on the role. However I think that when I'm out in the trade doing the practical side of the job I gain more skills and experience faster and feel that I progress more and learn how to do the job and work at hand at a better pace and gain greater knowledge and understandment.

8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

As I've just started with the company I haven't got to see many activities, but I do know they have social events and shows that I will be getting Involved in in the future. This I am looking forward too.

It's a great company to work for with a good reputation. Support and help whenever is needed and also many benefits that come along with it.

10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Marston's?

Read the job description and if you feel it's the right role for you then you have nothing to worry about as marstons will do the rest for you. As long as you get stuck into your work and show you are a great asset for the business, then the company will take great care of you and ensure your time with marstons is an excellent decision you've made in life.
