On a day to day basis, my job role requires me to be able to interact with customers, this can be on the till or shop floor. I also have to work pallettes and make sure stock is on sale at all time’s. We have to make sure stock is always reworked to keep a flow and change over from am to pm.
I feel like I can work well under stress and when the store is busy, I love interacting with customers, making sure they had a great store experience. I’ve learnt a lot from my modules, including types of customers and types of feedback given
I really enjoy my programme and the help provided is reassuring. You can always ask for help when needed and someone is always there to provide you with it.
My programme is very well organised. We have set times for when my next visit will be and the modules which I have to revise and complete. My trainer is very helpful and is there to help me when I need it most.
I receive a lot of help from my employer. Whenever I feel stressed they are there to calm you down and I never feel scared to talk to them about how I feel whilst in work.
My trainer helps a lot, he goes through the modules step by step with me and if I’m a bit stuck he will go over it with me until I’m 100% knowledgeable on that subject. He never shouts when I don’t know something, he helps me to understand and will take as much time to make sure I understand what I’m doing. He also makes sure I am okay in between visits and asks how I am getting on which makes me feel a lot more calm.
The modules help me perform better in my role because it’s like a step to step guide on how we should approach certain situations and how we should deal with them. Going through modules and writing it down then means that we can put this into practise whilst in store and makes me feel like I can perform a lot better in my job role.
Yes
Everyone is supportive and the team spirit is always high. You always have someone to talk to on shifts and everyone is so lovely.
Make sure you are committed to the job, as it can be extremely stressful at time’s. However, team mates and management are always there for support if you need it. Being able to find the right techniques to get jobs done in a quicker time is something that took me a while to do, but once you have the right mind set, anything is possible in this role.
