I act as an assurance provider. I provide assurance to companies that their accounts are accurate.
Yes I have learned a lot of new skills involving technical capabilities on a laptop and a lot of principles in auditing. I have also developed my communication skill due to being in constant communication with clients.
Right now with covid-19 not a lot seeing as there is a lot of uncertainty over everything including lectures and exams. But overall I am enjoying all the support I have been getting from both the university and PwC. Although it is very stressful considering we have to get 12 exemptions in less than 3 years including work placements throughout.
It is very well organised overall. However they don't respond well to times of crisis as proven by covid-19. All other programs have informed their students on their contingency plans but our course leaders have not reached out yet.
I receive a lot of support. PwC is such a great company especially when it comes to supporting their staff. In these hard times I feel very much a part of PwC in terms of how much support they are giving us even when everyone is working remotely.
I receive a lot of support I just wish we had more time to do everything since we have such a tightly packed schedule
My training before I went on to work definitely helped a lot as well as a couple of my courses prepared me for some of the most important principles in my work (Ethics especially). Although as expected it was a bit of a shock going from university exams to a work placement in less than a months time
Yes there are a lot of social activities even now when everything is online.
Yes
Because it is a great company the people that work there are friendly and helpful and the support that I am getting from the company considering its a first job and I need it is enormous.
Most of the people that I met working here are friendly and a lot of times go out of their way to help you so I would suggest trying to bring that forward.
